The Postcard Search

We are Nancy and Neesha, two mid-twenties love birds and travel bloggers that call New York City home. Together we have traveled to 11 countries and 15 U.S cities. In 2018, we launched The Postcard Search, a travel blog geared towards queer travelers of color. Our motivation to launch the blog grew from frustrations of feeling invisible within the travel blog sphere. While planning for our travels, we needed information beyond the typical travel tips. As a couple, we recognize the need to create content to better represent the needs of travelers of diverse sexual orientations or gender identities. Whether preparing for domestic or international travel, we envision our blog will expand to be the go-to resource for travelers seeking candid personal experiences with the laws, policies, and cultural attitudes that shape our trips. We hope to inspire more LGBTQIA+ individuals to feel empowered and emboldened to searching for and collecting their own postcards.
Our favorite trip thus far is Berlin, Germany. We fell in love with the eclectic art and people. There are endless activities to do for every type of person; our favorite parts were attending the DDR museum, checking out the street art, and dancing to Spanish music at Freudenzimmer.
