Being in the travelling industry for more than a decade I have exposed the majority of travel destinations in Sri Lanka. Even though my passion in travelling started during my school time, my professional journey started in 2007. I started working as a freelance naturalist for a major tour company in Sri Lanka. In this role, I had the opportunity to provide lifelong experiences to my valuable clients by exploring Sri Lanka’s unparallel wildlife, nature, culture, and village life etc. I am a life member of the Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka from where I obtained my bird ringing certificate. In addition, I am a member of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society of Sri Lanka and the Butterfly Conservation Society of Sri Lanka. During my journey as naturalist I was fortunate enough to conduct whale watching tours for my valuable clients in 2008. Conducting leopard safaris, nature walks, bird watching tours, whale watching, village walks, are some of the most exciting activities I carried out as a naturalist.

Back in 2010, I moved to Canada and obtained my hike leading certificate from Hike Ontario and started volunteering as a Park Ambassador at Rouge Park, Toronto. While I was in Toronto, I participated in various projects on volunteer basis. Once I was recognized by the Toronto Zoo for the efforts I made for the Turtle Conservation. In addition, I was a volunteer naturalist at the Helen Schuler Nature Center in Lethbridge, Alberta.

I moved back to Sri Lanka and started working as a naturalist for major tour company in Sri Lanka from 2018 onwards.
